A brief introduction
My name is Navjot Bring and I recently just turned 20. I have resided in Surrey in my two decades of existance and I have seen society change drastically around me. I am currently a third year Criminology student at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. I started of my post secondary venture straight out of high school. I began in the Bachelor of Science program and honestly; the labs took their toll. I switched out to the Criminology program a semester later. It is safe to say I am quite passionate about my field of study.
My love for Criminology enabled me to get a job within the law field itself. I work in a undercover sector for a major security company and it enables me to work with local/municipal police departments on a daily basis. I truly love my work and if I am not at school, or at the gym; you will find me at work. As far as my long term goals: I want to continue working within my field of study. I am not much of a dreamer as I try to work towards goals one step at a time. My only worry at this time is completing my degree and I will go on from there.
The only previous knowledge I had about Sociology was through my Sociology 1125 class and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the concepts and ideas that were brought up within the class itself. Society is not fixed, it is ever changing. It is the people within society, their customs, their beliefs that make a society stronger. I decided to take this class to further understand concepts within Sociology.
